Freelance Digital Content Writer (Consumer Medical)

Parallel Path, a Boulder-based digital marketing agency, is looking for extraordinary freelance digital writers with expertise in medical conditions content directed toward the consumer. Local candidates are preferred.



The type of content that will be required will primarily consist of medical conditions website content directed towards consumers. The target audience will be parents looking for information on pediatric medical conditions. Content work must reflect depth of research of the topic and authority of the subject. The writing style must strictly adhere to AP Style, and should be informative, simple and concise.


Job Requirements

The ideal writer will be well-spoken, excel at performing and citing their own research, be able to adapt their writing style and tone of voice to various content needs, utilize proper grammar, possess an understanding of SEO best practices, and be capable of writing on a variety of topics. Research practices must include more than simply Googling a subject matter; candidates must be comfortable interviewing sources as part of their research on a topic as well as diving deep into other topic resources.

Parallel Path must be able to communicate with writers during regular business hours via email and/or phone. Achieving deadlines and constant communication are an absolute must.

This is a contract position that in most cases will provide consistent work. A typical Parallel Path contract term is for 3 month auto-renewable periods, so there is an opportunity to have consistent work for an entire year.
